Top- ASOS
Skirt- Vintage
Shoes- Forever 21
Necklace & Cuffs- Ebay
Ring- Gifted to me
If your not drooling over this top, your not human. Like I literally died when I saw this online at ASOS, then somehow, I came back alive for the sole purpose in buying it! lol The top is such a focal point that you can't have too much going on, but at the same time black & white is too expected, so I added a pop of color with the cobalt blue skirt. Peplum is one of the major trends this season, and so are the metallic jewelry, so I had to throw on the choker and cuffs. I have to admit though, there are cons to this top. One being the fact that it sheds (Hello! Real velvet or whatev!) and the other is because of my own indiscretion. I bought a size too big! Ugh! But it's all good in the hood- still gotta make it work (in my Tim Gunn voice).
Anyway, I never realized how excruciatingly long it took to take pics, upload them and get them just right. I think my photographer (aka Mommy!) took about 4 dozen pictures! Had me thinking I was Tyra Banks up in here! lol Well I just hope you all like how it came out. I really need some feedback, since I'm just starting out and I feel perpetually lost. Okay I'm shutting up now...off to take a nap, do homework, edit pics and go to Bible Study! Too-da-loo!

Yay! Jersey girls unite!! I LOVE YOUR OUTFIT!! I think of it as being corporate sassy meets flirty meet for drinks in the city!! It's chic and sophisticated and gives me ideas for doing something different with my own wardrobe. Never be afraid of color, mixing your media (sources where you get your clothes from) and keep it coming! I am living vicariously through you and your blog LOL.

DeleteHi! Im new to your blog and it's fab!!! I have been dying to see this top on a curvy gal so your blog was THEE answer!! I was eyeing this top on the website. They have it in the curves sizes and in the regular/straight sizes. Do you mind me asking what size you got it in? I usually get the US 14 size but the top on the ASOS Curve section only started in US 16. I was afraid of getting it too big as well. Any advice you can offer will be EXTREMELY appreciated.
ReplyDeleteBy the by, the size is very nice on you. It must be a great quality top because it does you justice even if it's not your ideal fit. And I'm boring, lol, I planned to pair it with a black fitted pencil skirt but seeing the blue makes me think of trying red maybe?? Thanks for the inspiration!!!
ReplyDeleteHey Erika! Thanx for the kind words! I usually wear a size 12 or 14, but like you mentioned the size 16 was the only one available and I just had to have it lol I would just sew it in a little on the sides if you know how to sew. But I think either way you'll kill it doll!
ReplyDeleteThanks for responding so fast!! That really helps. I'm a subscriber. Please keep up the awesome posts!!
