Calm After the Storm

Sweater- Express
Skirt- American Apparel
Shoes- Forever 21
Necklace- Express
Cuffs- Forever 21
Purse- Francesca's Collection

Sandy the Hurricane just swept through most of the north east where I'm located. Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and New York...all were in a state of emergency. I can't lie, half of me was excited (hey, any day of possibly missing school is a good day) and the other half was scared straight. You never know the possible devastation or turmoil that may occur, so that's kind of scary. I thank God my friends and family made out okay, and I hope any of you guys out there in this area are okay too.

I love how this outfit is pure and calm, with a volt of excitement coming from the cobalt blue heels. This is how I feel after such a crazy storm. Hope you guys like it and thank you for stopping by once again dolls. Stay safe, okay?! Bye!

The African-American Museum in Philadelphia

Top- Forever 21
Skirt- H & M
Shoes- Sam & Libby
Purse- Francesca's Collection
Necklace- Express
Watch- American Exchange
Bracelet- Forever 21

Yesterday I was able to attend an event called Celebrations of African-Americans with Disabilities at the African-American History Museum in Philadelphia, PA. My Mom does some photography for the special guest, Zarifa Roberson, who founded and owns i.d.e.a.l Magazine Company. It is the only magazine for urban youth with disabilities, and its been in circulation since 2004.

I tagged along with her and was able to take some photos afterwards, but I really did enjoy myself. I learned so much about people who suffer from numerous disorders and illnesses and I realized that they aren't as different as people may think. So let's not forget that October is not only about Breast Cancer Awareness, but also National Disability Employment Awareness. To check out i.d.e.a.l Magazine go here, 'like' them on Facebook here and follow them on Twitter here. Oh, and let me know about the outfit! Thanks guys and be safe...Sandy the Storm is coming! Ahhhhhh! Talk to you soon.

I know this is random, but...

PICTURE DESCRIPTIONS
 1. Playing in the now famous hat I featured here
 2. Just a drop in the bucket, as far as my shoes go!
 3. Sitting in traffic headed to campus...ugh
 4. Sitting in traffic headed to campus, in style though :)
 5. Me and Nikki (my sister) at Wendy William's show
 6. Me and Nikki at a concert in Philly

Don't mind me, I just felt like posting any old thing today. Call me oldschool, but I took these pictures with my camera, not on an app called Instagram on an iPhone. Not that there's anything wrong with that (in my Jerry Seinfeld voice). Only die hard Seinfeld show fans would get that joke. Anyway, I just wanted to post random pics of my life. The most important are the last two of my sister and I. I love her! Guys, she's the reason I actually started blogging. I had the passion and desire before, but I was way too scared, but she kept pushing me to do it and voila! Here I am! Thanks Nikki Vikki! Her real name is Nicole, but we all go by pet names in this family, not unlike any other.

I must add that Nikki is not only my super smart younger sister, but also a college student at Rutgers University like me! She also blogs like I do! Of course, she actually started way before me. It's an awesome and intriguing blog, so you definitely need to check it out here and friend her on Facebook here ! Don't forget about my tech savvy little brother, Brandon (yea, I'm the oldest...it sucks) who also acts as assistant photographer in some of my shoots. I have to say, he also has superb style- he must get it from me. Friend him on Facebook here and follow him on Twitter here ! Okay, I'm done. Have a great weekend dolls! Talk to you soon!!

Pretty in Pink

Turtle Neck Top- Gap
Skirt- H & M
Tights- H & M
Shoes- Forever 21
Necklace- H & M
Ring- My Mom's

Two of my favorite colors, united: pink and black! What a wonderful union! Pink is everything to me; for the majority of my life my entire room was this shade of pink, and I can't lie- I kind of miss it. This outfit is perfect for a night out with the girls in the city or dinner with a date. I'm telling you though, you won't last very long in these heels. Although they have these super cool spikes in the back, they will murder your feet in less than 60 minutes flat. I mean, unless you have Barbie feet or your Victoria Beckham.

Today, I woke up...grateful. Jesus has been so good, even though I can't always see it. I really hope you guys realize that too. Okay, philosophy hour is over, I just wanted to get that off my chest. Have a happy Thursday and remember Project Runway All-Stars is on tonite at 9 on Lifetime! The best show in the world. No, universe. Just check it out and see! Too-da-loo!
