Stay With Me & You'll Never Go Baroque

Top-Vintage
Tweed Jacket- Alfani
Baroque Print Pants- Forever 21
Shoes- H & M
Necklace- Charming Charlie's
Watch- American Exchange

Oookay so I've been on the look out for a baroque print pant, or skirt, or dress or just about anything! I love the lavish pattern, and it just so happens to be right on trend for this season- along with oxblood and peplums. I bought this pant as soon as Forever 21 posted it on their site (I'm such a F21 groupie). I'm in love with the way it goes with almost everything and the stretch. The description online labels it as jeans but it's more like jeggins, which is great for a curvy gal like me! Tell me what you think, okay? Don't forget to 'like' me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter & Instagram @bitemyheathbar. Thanks for stopping by again...love you! Bye!

I wore this outfit yesterday to a quick breakfast date and movie (Les Miserable was good!) I wanted to go all chromatic, with green from head to toe, but I didn't have any green shoes. Boo! Color Block on the Clock!

Top- Forever 21
Skirt- Forever 21
Shoes- BCBG
Necklace- Francesca's Collection Boutique
Bracelet- Local Boutique

Merry Christmas! Oh em gee, I am so sorry for my long absence- there was so much going on. Not only did I have final exams at school, but I was trying to Christmas shop and prepare for the holiday dinner I had at my place last night. My blog was totally neglected, and therefor so was my fans. Not cool! Thank you so much for hanging in there, and thanks to all the emails and comments. A woman in France told me that I inspire her! Inspire! Wow! So blessed to have you guys.

Okay, in reference to this look, I wanted to try some color. It's the winter and I have worn black dang near everyday, so I just wanted to experiment with some color blocking. This peplum top can virtually go with anything though, red, white, purple...you name it! So can the shoes! Well, let me know what you guys think. Love ya, bye!

P.S My doggie Gucci jumped in my pictures, so I figured I'd just do the shoot with him. What an attention whore! Ha!

Sandy Hook

For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:38-39

This past Friday, December 14th, I wasn't having such a great day. I had recieved a grade on a paper I didn't particularly like, final exams coming up I wasn't ready for and it just seemed like the day dragged on. My Dad had informed me of a school shooting in passing, but I didn't pay much attention. I had my own issues. My own personal problems. Nothing is worse than this. Well...I was wrong.

Later on that day I overheard my Mom talking on the phone with my Aunt about the shooting, so I decided to turn on the T.V and see what all the ruckus was about. I couldn't believe it. A man had entered an elementary school in Newtown, Connecticut and shot 27 people; 20 were children and 7 were adults. The event is now ranked as the second deadliest mass shooting in U.S history. Most of the children were around the ages of 6 and 7 and had only just begun their academic careers. Innocent lives lost-graduations that won't be attended, future weddings that won't be planned and grand-children that won't be born. All lost.

I'm crying just typing this. I know my blog is on fashion and styling, but after much prayer and thought, I decided just to post my quick response to this tragedy. Although you may not reside in America, or you may not even have children like me, you still can understand the devastation. The pain. The hurt. But you know what? Jesus can heal all the pain. All the hurt. Everything...if you allow Him. I'm slowly but surely learning that myself. God bless America and God bless you, reader.

Blue Ivy

Dress- Joyce Leslie (Old)
Shoes- BCBG
Clutch- Vintage
Choker- H & M
Cuffs- Ebay
Earrings- Forever 21

So these cuffs and chocker may be familiar to you, I featured them here last month. I just love how they give a modern spin to an outfit. I wore this look to school last week and I got so many compliments, although, I rarely wear this dress because I always feel so self-conscious; bodycon dresses are so clingy! But I still wanted to show you guys how it looks. I have to go and finish this paper, but I hope you guys enjoy the rest of your day and thanks again for checking back in! See ya!

Geometric Formula

Turtle Neck Top- American Apparel
Denim Jacket- American Eagle
Skirt- Macy's
Shoes- H & M
Purse- H & M
Necklace- Forever 21

How is your weekend going?! Great I hope! This outfit just illustrates how you can incorporate color, fabric and dimension to a simple fall look. I just love the geometry of the skirt and purse- it drives the eye right to it. Hope you like it too! I have a ton of work, papers to write, exams to study for and romantic comedies to watch, so I don't know how frequent my posts will be this upcoming week. But I will try, okay guys! Adios!
